Broco CuttingMDS have many years of experience in cutting all types of steel and non-ferrous metals underwater. We maintain two 50m long Broco set ups ready for immediate use. Our most challenging Broco job to date has been the connection of the North Head STP hydro-generating pipeline into the noose outfall tunnel. This required us to cut a 2.5m diameter oval shaped hole into the main sewerage pipeline for the northern half of Sydney. The cut was made through 1 inch steel. This work was carried out as part of the PARR project of the NH STP but by careful planning and the use of experienced divers, the work was carried off without delay or incident.
